Does Any 1 No If Asbestos Can Effect You Just A Year And A Half After U Were Exposed To It?
does any one no if you can feel the effects of asbestos as soon as a year and a half after expsure i didnt think u would cos every body says you wont feel symtoms for decades but im starting to show symptoms already im getting sharp pains in my lungs and chest area had this everyday for two months it just wont go and a weried popping noise and bubbling noise in my lungs so im really worried about this i dont get short of breathe just these other symptoms does any 1 think these symptoms are due to asbestos

I very much doubt that as my uncle has asbestos for yearssss, he developed lung cancer and as a result died. But this was like, 30years after he was exposed to to it.

The problem with it is that it can stay dormant for a long time and then pop up. Most people are way to far along by the time it is caught. So be careful and get checked out… Good luck

January 31, 2010 2:24 am | #3It depends entirely upon exposure level. However, whether asbestos is to blame or not, you need to see a doctor immediately. These are not normal symptoms you are experiencing, and may indicate a serious condition. Go as soon as physically possible.
