I wish i could write an essay, they used to be so much fun to do because you learn something. Enjoy school!

I would start the topic in general terms defining what cancer is, how it affects americans, and how it is the second leading cause of death in the USA (Heart disease is first).

I would then get to specifics about the stomach. I would tell what the symptoms are for somebody to be aware of for this type of cancer, I would define what the stages are for this kind of cancer and write about each stage a sentence or two, then I would write about the treatment of the disease. Normal treatment of cancer is chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation. So probably a paragraph about each one and how it kills cancer cells. Then I would write what the prognosis is and how successful this type of cancer is according to the stage the cancer is in.

When writing an essay it is important to start with a thesis sentence, and then tie that in with the closing statement. If you have a good thesis statement then you will have a good essay.

So write an outline first and then it will be easy to do your assignment. Be sure to use sources to make your essay stronger.

    I. Introduction with a good thesis sentence
    A. Cancer Number Two killer of americans next to Heart Disease (have a source)
    B. Explain briefly what cancer is
    C. Types of Cancer
    4. What is stomach cancer and how does one get the diagnosis of it? Aches and pains?
    2. The outlook of somebody that is diagnosed with this disease,
    A. Staging of stomach cancer and what it means
    B. Treatment of stomach cancer
    C. Survival rates of the disease
    3. Wrap it up
    A. What to look for, how to prevent it by eating what? Exercising?
    B. If caught early….
    C. By being aware of your body it can/cannot be helpful in fighting this cancer.
    D. Tie your essay up using your introduction. It should flow smoothly.

So it could be something like this (but I do not know too much about this type of cancer so you would have to find out the statistics) Stomach cancer is on the rise, mostly older americans are getting the disease, eating fresh fruits and vegetables and living a healthier lifestyle is a major contributor in preventing this terrible disease. Living a healthier lifestyle will reduce your chance of getting stomach cancer and you will not be one of the 10,000 newly diagnosed cancers that claim lives every year. (really bad) but then tie it up at the end, so avoiding fast food, eating more organic foods, and evaluating what you eat and exercising daily are things we can do to be healthier and increases our odds of being cancer free, or stomach cancer free.

Again, I know nothing about what causes stomach cancer (not sure if anyone does for that matter) but I use this as an example of what you could do in your essay. Have fun with it, writing essays was fun for me because you learn about things you might have no idea about. Good luck,
