My mother just settled her case, she had a car accident (was hit by a truck) and she has 3 bulged disks. The want to settle for $7500. Is this too little of an amount? I have the feeling it should be more because I was in an accident a fews back and the only thing wrong with me was a pinched nerve and whiplash and my case settled for $12,000. Any insight would be great, thanks!

Courts are 1/3 of the branch to insure people experience Liberty. With Civil Cases other the accidents cases, lawyers do no free work.
Rarely if ever does, a lawyer wait on payment of a constitutional nature until after the case. Often filing without a lawyer seems the only form to achieve justice.
While this is supposingly an act protected sixth amendment right, Judges hate this proceeding. It takes them more time to figure out the case. Some judges feels self representing removes food from lawyers tables. ONly the person at the bottom half of the ecomonic ladder often can not AFFORD to retain a lawyer. Often cases must be filed without a lawyer in the seeking of and the hope of justice
In the “Land of Laws” I wish to know what percentage of non lawyer cases you think are thrown out without a trial.

I know a lot of you make think this is a dumb question but I’m going to ask it anyway. I know lawyers charge a lot for different services but don’t they use that money to pay for court costs, paying assistants, filing fees, recording fees, etc…? Do lawyers make money off of small cases or is it the big lawsuits that rack in the dough?
Btw, I’m not trying to bash lawyers at all.

I have had the same lawyer for an accident case that was the other persons fault now for 4 years! I have went to a deposition and done everything with the same lawyer up until today! I just received a letter in the mail stating that another lawyer from a whole different firm has my case now! I have never heard of this lawyer and I’m just confused? Is this legal?! What is going on?

Hello,
i was recently in a car accident. A car had pulled in front of us when they were at a stop sign. We were going 40 miles an hour. I had gotten a concusion, my knees are still having pain, and I got stiches above my eye. My mother also got a concussion, neck pain, and broke her ankle. How much do you expect we will recieve for our injuries? I also believe that there was something wrong with the other driver because he could clearly see us, but still pulled out. It, to me, was attempted murder. But back to the question… We have a lawyer already and we’re waiting for the trial. How much do you expect we will get?
No It was an attempt to hit us for insurance money. If you were older and wiser you would undertstand how some people are and how they are greedy. I just want to throw the greed back in his face.

I was involved in a motorcycle wreck in Charlotte, NC. I sustained several major injuries and a MRSA infection following the wreck and have 175,000 in medical bills. The other guy’s insurance has paid for my motorcycle and am still settling the personal injury. I did not have my motorcycle endorsement at the time of the wreck, but the cop did not put that on the police report, however, I drove the bike for 2 years and 12,000 miles prior to the wreck without incident. Two questions: Can the insurance company look at my DMV records without my consent considering they have already accepted responsibility? and if they find out I did not have my motorcycle endorsement could it endanger my ability to collect damages considering they have already accepted responsibility? Thanks a lot
