draghici – Diagnosis and treatment of stomach cancer may best be guided by a general surgeon first and then by an oncologist MD (cancer treatment specialist) at a major medical center or cancer treatment center.

If your stomach cancer already involves your bowel, you may very well be unresectable and may have no option other than palliative surgery for bypass of an obstruction.

Colostomies don’t replace the stomach. They divert your fecal stream to your abdominal wall to either bypass an obstructed colon or because your colon could not be hooked back up to your rectum.
